At the age of 100, he sat down to tell his amazing story, taking us through the defeat of Germany, rescues at Dachau, the Cold War, the attempted overthrow of Indonesian president Sukarno, and incursions in Communist China. Revealing the secret workings behind global conflicts, Katharina Otto-Bernstein’s fascinating documentary is at once a personal portrait, historical drama, and detective thriller.
